A community effort by the Metro Tri-Club to increase fitness in the Alton / Edwardsville and surrounding communities.

Who else is involved?

 We (and you) will be supported by:

  • The Cyclery
  • Fitness Designs Physical Therapy
  • Metro Sports

  • What's the Goal?

  • To provide the basic skills and knowledge so that our participants (you) can take part in Cross-Training activities associated with Triathlon.
  • Improve participants (you ... again) fitness level.
  • Complete the Wood River Triathlon
  • Remember ... it's not about speed ... it's about getting you moving


What's in it for me?

  • Free fitness Seminars.
  • Training opportunities. Training with others makes workout's easier, more fun, and more productive.
  • Discounted equipment and supplies.
  • Free Food. (NO not pizza!! Think fitness!)

Important Dates to remember:

  • 4/15/2010 - Deadline for Wood River Triathlon application and check for $40 to Lisa Bodine.
  • 8/14/2010 - Wood River Triathlon

  • The Training Mental-Game
  • Sports Nutrition
  • Swimming
  • Triathlon Tips & Tricks

Participant Details:

  • Open to those 18 years and older.
  • 12 participants for 2010.
  • Communication via email please.
  • Provide your own transportation to events & seminars.
  • Be Motivated
  • Attend at least 4 seminars to continue with the program.
  • Pay $40 entry fee for Wood River Triathlon (turned in to Lisa Bodine by 4/15/2010)

It's pretty easy ...

  • Your Name
  • Address
  • Email Address (for our use only)
  • Age / Gender
  • Current Activity Level.
  • Here we're looking for your current physical fitness activities (walking, aerobics, etc.).
  • A reply of "none" is OK. Our goal is getting you moving through encouragement, education, and camaraderie.
